Clark Planetarium is a free-admission science museum and full-dome theatre in the Gateway shopping district. The permanent exhibits explain astronomy, space exploration, and Earth science, with interactive displays for all ages. The IMAX and dome theatres charge separately for shows.
It is a practical family stop particularly in bad weather, and its downtown location near Temple Square makes it easy to combine with a visit to the historic sites. The free exhibits include a working weather station on the roof and a pendulum display demonstrating Earth's rotation.
