Liberty Park

Liberty Park is Salt Lake City's largest urban park, a 110-acre green space about two miles south of downtown. The park includes tennis courts, a small amusement area, an aviary, walking and running paths, ponds, and a swimming pool, making it the primary outdoor recreation space for the central city.

The park hosts a busy summer schedule of community events, outdoor concerts, and arts festivals. On weekend mornings it fills with families, dog walkers, and pickup football and frisbee games. The Tracy Aviary within the park is a free-flight bird facility with hundreds of species; it is excellent value and one of the better zoo-type experiences in the city.
