Wheeler Historic Farm in Murray, about 12 miles south of downtown Salt Lake City, is a working historic farm preserved from the late nineteenth century. The farm offers tours, animal demonstrations, wagon rides, and seasonal activities throughout the year, with a focus on farming life in pioneer-era Utah.
The farm is particularly popular for families with young children. The setting — a genuine working farm with orchards, barns, and fields — provides a useful counterpoint to the urban LDS history sites downtown. Admission is free to walk the grounds; some activities charge separately.
