Gardner Village

Gardner Village is a collection of historic pioneer homes relocated to the site of the original Gardner Flour Mill, built in 1877 along Little Cottonwood Creek in West Jordan (about 15 minutes south of downtown Salt Lake City). The mill itself has been restored and converted into a shop selling country furniture and home accessories, while Archibald's Restaurant operates in the adjacent building.

The surrounding grounds hold a dozen or so nineteenth-century homes and outbuildings that have been moved here from across the Salt Lake Valley and converted into boutique shops. It has a particular following in autumn, when the village stages a Halloween-themed witch display, and again at Christmas. If you enjoy the combination of historic preservation, outdoor strolling, and crafts shopping, it is worth the short drive from the city.
