Lindsay Gardens is a hillside park in Salt Lake City's old Avenues area, next to the city cemetery. The draw is the calm setting and the broad view back across the valley, rather than any single monument.
It is best as a short neighbourhood pause if you are already exploring north and east of Temple Square. Sunset can be especially good when the light catches the city and the Wasatch foothills.
