Parque da Cidade Sarah Kubitschek

Sprawling 4.2 km² urban park designed by Burle Marx

Named for JK's wife Sarah, this huge city park — 4.2 km² — was landscaped by Roberto Burle Marx and is the recreational lungs of Brasília. The lakes, jogging tracks (10 km of them), bike paths, sports fields, and shaded picnic areas fill up on weekends with everyone from cyclists to barbecuing families to capoeira circles.

The smaller adjoining Parque Ana Lídia has an outdoor exercise area. The Mané Garrincha National Stadium — built for the 2014 World Cup — and the Brasília Convention Centre sit on its northern edge. Bike rentals from the park entrance.
