The Punjab Provincial Assembly building dominates the Charing Cross roundabout on the Mall — a long, white classical-revival pile completed in 1938 in a hybrid style that combines Beaux-Arts symmetry with Mughal-style chhajja eaves. The building is fronted by the Quaid-e-Azam memorial and the famous Charing Cross statue of Queen Victoria, now replaced by a copy of the Quran in a marble pavilion.
Visitors can walk the surrounding plaza but the building itself is closed except for official business. Worth a stop on the Mall walk for the colonial-era civic context.
