The Sheesh Mahal — Palace of Mirrors — is the showpiece interior of the Lahore Fort, a small jewel-box pavilion in the women's quarters with ceilings inlaid with thousands of small convex mirrors, mother-of-pearl, and tiny pieces of coloured glass. By candlelight (the lighting on the night tours), the whole interior glitters with reflected points of light.
Built by Shah Jahan in 1631–1632, it is on the upper terrace of the fort with a long marble balcony overlooking Hazuri Bagh and the Badshahi Mosque. Access has at times been restricted for conservation work; check before going. Combine with the Naulakha Pavilion and the rest of the fort.
