Kollegienkirche

The Collegiate Church on Universitätsplatz is Fischer von Erlach's masterpiece — a tall, white, oval-domed building completed in 1707 that is among the purest expressions of high baroque north of the Alps. The exterior is austere, the interior airy and almost luminous.

The four side altars are themed around the four university faculties of the old archbishopric: medicine, law, theology, and philosophy. Concerts during the Salzburg Festival regularly fill the church.
