A music museum that, unusually, focuses on the science of sound as well as the famous Viennese composers. The Haus der Musik takes visitors from the physics of vibrations through interactive exhibits to floors devoted to Haydn, Mozart, Beethoven, Schubert, Brahms, Mahler, and the Vienna Philharmonic.
The fun is in the experiments — you can virtually conduct the Vienna Philharmonic, and the orchestra responds (or fails to) depending on your beat. Good with children but appealing to adults too. Open daily.
