Fjellsiden is the traditional hillside neighbourhood above Bryggen and around the lower Fløibanen line. Its steep lanes, wooden houses, stairways, and glimpses over the harbour make it one of Bergen's most rewarding short walks.
Use it as a slow route between the old waterfront and the paths up Mount Floyen. The streets are residential, so the pleasure is in wandering quietly rather than ticking off a single monument.
