The Norwegian Knitting Industry Museum occupies the former Salhus Tricotagefabrik, once one of Norway's early mechanised knitwear factories. The old machinery is still in working order, and visits usually focus on guided tours, factory history, exhibitions, and film.
It is a specialist museum, but a good one if you want Bergen's industrial and everyday-life history rather than another harbour view.
