Plan B has been part of Powiśle since before the neighbourhood became fashionable. A low-ceilinged bar and cafe on Aleje Ujazdowskie, it keeps late hours and a mixed crowd: coffee in the afternoon, natural wine and cocktails in the evening. The furniture is mismatched, the music is good, and there is almost always somewhere to sit — unlike the more famous terrace bars down by the river.
The food menu is light but thoughtful: soups, tartines, and a rotating specials board. It attracts a local crowd rather than tourists and is a good place to understand what an ordinary Warsaw evening looks like.
