The Polish Vodka Museum opened in 2018 in a restored 19th-century rectification plant in the Praga district — the very place where much of Warsaw's vodka was once made. The exhibition traces the 600-year history of vodka production in Poland, covering the chemistry, the politics (vodka was a state monopoly for most of Polish history), and the culture.
The mandatory guided tour takes about an hour and ends with a tasting of several vodkas, allowing you to distinguish between grain and potato varieties, different ageing methods, and regional styles. It's educational in the most enjoyable way. Book tickets in advance.
