Echo Park is a lakeside park northwest of Downtown Los Angeles, with skyline views, a central fountain, and pedal boats on the lake. It is popular for picnics and short walks, and it gives a more local pause between Downtown, Angelino Heights, and the surrounding indie music and nightlife streets.
The park has appeared in films and music videos, but it is most useful as an easy outdoor stop: come for the view across the water toward the towers of Downtown, then continue into the neighbourhood.
