The Museum of Jurassic Technology is one of Los Angeles' strangest and most memorable small museums, mixing real scholarship, invented histories, folk science, miniature art, and deadpan presentation until the border between fact and fiction becomes part of the exhibit.
Expect odd, intricate displays rather than a conventional science museum. The upstairs tea room and small theater add to the atmosphere, and photography and phone use are not allowed inside.
