A field of broken concrete, foundations, and streetcar tracks on the cliff at Point Fermin in San Pedro — the aftermath of a 1929 landslide that swallowed a Coast Guard road and several houses. The site is officially closed and fenced, but the fence has been broken for decades and a steady flow of visitors and photographers slips through.
It is technically illegal to enter and there is a small risk of further slides. Views from the legal side of the fence are still good and the headland park is worth the trip on its own.
