The Old Los Angeles Zoo is a set of abandoned animal enclosures in Griffith Park, used before the current zoo opened in 1966. Stone grottoes and barred cages remain beside a picnic area, giving the place an unusual mix of park outing and urban exploration.
Some enclosures are closed off, but the site is still easy to combine with other Griffith Park sights.
