Jinan Old Town is the low, spring-fed heart of the city, threaded by lanes, canals, small bridges, and older courtyard fabric between Daming Lake, Qushuiting Street, and the famous spring parks. It is less a single monument than a district where Jinan's water-city identity still feels tangible.
The best approach is to walk slowly and let the springs set the route. Combine it with Daming Lake, Baotu Spring, or Black Tiger Spring, then use the smaller lanes for the human-scale version of a city now better known for traffic and towers.
