Wulongtan Park contains five spring pools that drain into a central channel, historically associated with dragon worship and the ancient belief that springs were portals to the dragon-king's underwater kingdom. The park is smaller and less famous than Baotu Spring but correspondingly quieter, and its tree-shaded pools and historic stone walls have a different quality — older and more tangled, less manicured.
The pools are fed by several named springs including Wulong Spring, Wudao Spring, and others, each with its own personality and legend. The park connects via canal channels to the larger spring system west of the old city. Worth visiting as a complement to Baotu if you want to understand how the spring system works as a whole rather than as isolated attractions.
