Gedung Pakuan is a 19th-century colonial residence built after the Parahyangan residency moved its capital from Cianjur to Bandung. The Indies Empire style, with its broad symmetry and official air, tells you a lot about Bandung's growth as an administrative city under Dutch rule.
The building is now the official residence of the governor of West Java, so it is mainly an exterior stop for architecture and history rather than a place to tour inside.
