Selasar Sunaryo is the personal museum and studio complex of the sculptor Sunaryo, one of Indonesia's most prominent contemporary artists. The space — opened in 1998, designed in a tropical-modernist style around a steep slope above the Dago Pakar forest — combines permanent display of Sunaryo's own work with rotating exhibitions of contemporary Indonesian art.
The setting is the unexpected reward: terraced sculpture gardens, pools, viewpoints back over the city, and a small bamboo cafe that is one of the calmest spots near Bandung. Closed Mondays. The drive up Jalan Dago is steep — easier by taxi than by your own car if you are not familiar with the roads.
