Lecheng Temple is a Mazu temple in Taichung's Hanxi area, dedicated to the sea goddess known locally as Hanxi Mazu after the nearby river. It is an active place of worship rather than a quiet monument, with incense, offerings, and festival activity giving it much of its character.
The temple is a worthwhile stop for travelers tracing Taichung's older religious sites beyond the central shopping streets and museums.
