Yizhong Street is the largest of Taichung's student night markets, running daily — though not technically a night market — alongside Taichung First Senior High School in the centre of the city. The combination of students and the busy daytime cram-school district has made it one of the cheapest and most varied street-food strips in the city.
Bubble tea, fried chicken cutlets, takoyaki, pancakes, Korean street food and pearl-milk waffle stands cluster within a few blocks. The clothing and accessory shops between the food stalls are aimed at teenagers. Best in the late afternoon and early evening on weekdays.
