The Zhongshe Flower Market in Houli, about thirty minutes north of central Taichung, is a five-hectare flower farm that doubles as a paid photo park. Long swathes of seasonal flowers — lavender, sunflowers, tulips, salvia — are planted in geometric strips and underpinned with low fences, props, and themed installations.
It is unapologetically Instagram-orientated and not subtle, but the colour is genuine and the place is unusually well kept. About an hour and a half. Easiest by car or taxi from central Taichung.
