Zhongxiao Night Market is the most local of the major Taichung night markets, in the South District a short distance from the centre. It runs every evening on Zhongxiao Road, with several hundred stalls and a heavier focus on sit-down food than at Fengjia.
The signature dishes are the lamb hot pot, charcoal-grilled squid, and pan-fried buns. It is rarely tourist-heavy and prices are correspondingly lower than at Fengjia. Easy walk or short taxi from the Wuquan Park area.
