Maple Garden (Fenghua Yuan) is a small, plant-dense walking park between the National Museum of Natural Science and the Calligraphy Greenway. It is best in winter, when a stand of mature maples on the eastern side turns orange and red — one of the few stands in central Taiwan large enough to attract local photographers.
Outside the maple season the park is a quiet residential green space, useful as a cut-through between the museum and the cultural strip on the Greenway.
