Military Museum

Prague's Military Museum covers the Czechoslovak armed forces through uniforms, weapons, maps, and wartime artefacts. The strongest sections deal with the First and Second World Wars from a Czech and Slovak point of view, which makes it a useful counterpoint to the city's older imperial sights.

Some displays are blunt about war crimes and occupation, so it is not the best museum for young children. For travellers interested in 20th-century history, it pairs well with the National Monument on Vítkov nearby.
