Speculum Alchemiae is a small alchemy museum in a very old building on the edge of Prague's Jewish Quarter. Guided tours explain Prague's Renaissance fascination with elixirs, royal patronage, laboratory work, and the legends that grew around alchemists and golems.
The highlight is the underground laboratory space, reached below the house. Tours are short, usually about half an hour, and the cellar rooms can be cold even in warm weather.
