The Podoli Waterworks Building is one of Prague's more surprising industrial monuments: a late-1920s waterworks by Antonin Engel that looks grand enough to be a parliament or city hall. Its neoclassical bulk stands by the Vltava south of Vysehrad.
The building houses a small museum on Prague's water supply, which makes it most rewarding for travellers interested in engineering, architecture, or the less obvious layers of the city.
