Muo is the small fishing village on the opposite shore of the bay from Kotor's old town, with the photograph you have probably seen — a row of stone houses, fishing boats moored along a low quay, and the walls of Kotor framed across the water beyond. It is perhaps fifteen minutes' walk around the head of the bay or two minutes by water taxi.
A handful of family-run konobas serve fish straight off the boats; the seafront promenade runs almost the whole length of the village. The view back across to Kotor at sunset, with the floodlit fortress walls climbing the mountain, is the best free spectacle in the bay.
