The Georgian House

The Georgian House is a restored late-18th-century townhouse on Charlotte Square, designed by Robert Adam and furnished to show how Edinburgh's New Town elite lived. Rooms are arranged as a self-guided visit through drawing rooms, dining spaces, bedrooms, and service areas.

It is one of the best interiors for understanding the New Town as more than a handsome street grid. Book ahead in busy summer periods, when entry can sell out.
