Palazzo della Sapienza

Palazzo della Sapienza was the home of the University of Rome from the 15th century until 1935. Its courtyard, designed by Giacomo della Porta, leads to Sant'Ivo alla Sapienza, Borromini's compact Baroque church with one of Rome's most inventive domes.

Opening access can be limited, but the building is close enough to Piazza Navona and the Pantheon to fit into a short architecture walk.
