Villa Torlonia

Villa Torlonia is a former aristocratic estate with landscaped gardens and several museum buildings, best known as Benito Mussolini's rented residence from 1925 to 1943. The main villa, the Casino Nobile, has been restored as a museum.

The grounds also include the whimsical Casina delle Civette, garden pavilions, Jewish catacombs, and wartime shelters. It is a strong choice when you want a Roman villa and garden outside the most crowded central circuit.
