Santa Costanza

Santa Costanza is a 4th-century mausoleum turned church, built under Constantine for his daughters Constantina and Helena. Its circular plan, ring of granite columns, and early Christian mosaics make it a rewarding stop for visitors interested in Rome beyond the central ruins.

The church was once part of a larger cemetery complex, traces of which remain nearby. It is small, quiet, and best paired with other sights in northeast Rome.
