The Nicolae Minovici Folk Art Museum occupies an unusual villa in northern Bucharest, close to the museum cluster around Herăstrău Park. Its collections reflect the tastes of physician and collector Nicolae Minovici, with Romanian folk art, textiles, ceramics, and domestic objects.
It is a quieter alternative to the Village Museum and the Antipa Museum nearby. The pleasure is partly the house itself: a personal, eccentric setting that gives folk material a more intimate frame than a large national institution.
