The main shopping street of Chueca and Malasaña, running from Gran Vía north through both neighbourhoods. In the Chueca section it concentrates independent fashion boutiques, gay-friendly bars, and street-wear shops that give the street its character: neither chain-store uniform nor boutique-exclusive, but a workable mix that serves the neighbourhood's mixed demographics.
The stretch between Calle Augusto Figueroa and Calle de Barceló is the most useful: café, bookshop, pharmacy, and clothing concentrated into two blocks. The street spills into the Malasaña section further north without a clear boundary — both neighbourhoods have a claim on it. Metro Gran Vía or Chueca.
