The main restaurant street of Chueca runs from the Gran Vía end of the neighbourhood north toward Alonso Martínez, concentrating international restaurants, gay-friendly bars, and café-restaurants that fill for dinner until midnight. The middle section around Calle de Augusto Figueroa is the densest part.
Chueca's restaurant scene has more international variety than most of central Madrid — Thai, Japanese, Lebanese, Argentinian, Italian, and modern Spanish all appear on the same blocks. Quality is generally higher than in the tourist-facing streets further south. The street is worth walking the full length rather than just targeting a single restaurant. Metro Chueca.
