The market hall for the Kallio side of town, a brick building of 1914 reopened in 2022 after a four-year renovation that gave it a glass-roofed annex and a new basement floor. The stalls are a mix of food — fish, meat, baked goods, a couple of café-bakeries — and crafts: Marimekko factory seconds, second-hand books, Finnish design objects.
Less touristy than the Old Market Hall by Kauppatori, and a useful lunch stop if you are visiting Kallio church or browsing the cafés along Helsinginkatu. Closed Sunday.
