The Rock Church, completed in 1969 by the brothers Timo and Tuomo Suomalainen, is quarried out of the bedrock of a small square in the Töölö district. The walls are raw granite, the roof a shallow copper dome ringed with a band of skylights. The acoustics are so good that concerts are held here as often as services. Free to enter outside service times; expect crowds in peak season.
