Ammunition Hill was a major Jordanian fortified position in East Jerusalem and the site of a fierce battle during the 1967 war. Its capture helped lead to Israeli control of all Jerusalem.
The site is now a museum and memorial run by the Israel Defense Forces, with trenches, exhibits and interpretation focused on the battle.
