The Davidson Center covers the archaeological area south of the Temple Mount, where remains from the Herodian, Byzantine, and Umayyad periods are visible in a compact, heavily layered site.
It is one of the best places in the Old City area to connect Jerusalem's sacred geography with physical archaeology. Guided tours add context, especially for the Herodian street remains and the changing approaches to the Temple Mount.
