Ramat Rachel is a hilltop archaeological site south of central Jerusalem, with remains linked to a First Temple-period royal palace and later settlement layers. The site is freely visible outside, and the broad views over Jerusalem and the surrounding hills are as much a reason to come as the archaeology.
