Mitzpeh Tel is a quiet nature spot with one of Jerusalem's more rewarding open views. In late winter and early spring blue lupines brighten the hill, and on clear days the view runs past the Old City toward the Jordanian hills. It works well as a picnic stop when you want a break from the stone lanes and heavy history below.
