The Cave of the Minor Sanhedrin is an ancient underground burial cave north of the Old City. Its 23 burial niches are traditionally linked to the 23 members of the Minor Sanhedrin, a Jewish court of antiquity. The site is small, but it is a worthwhile stop for visitors tracing Jerusalem's ancient tombs beyond the best-known Old City sights.
