The Federal Territory Mosque is one of Kuala Lumpur's grander modern mosques, opened in 2000 and partly inspired by Istanbul's Blue Mosque. Its domes, arcades, and reflecting pools make it a strong architectural stop north of the city centre.
Visitors can usually enter outside prayer times, but arrangements and dress rules can change, so check ahead or call before making a special trip. Non-Muslim visitors should dress modestly and expect to remove shoes before entering prayer areas.
