Publika is the cultural anchor of Mont Kiara — a partly open-air shopping gallery that functions more like an arts precinct than a conventional mall. The central atrium hosts regular art installations, weekend flea markets, food truck festivals, and live music. The gallery units have a high concentration of independent businesses: craft beer bars, artisan coffee shops, a substantial Hardrock Café, independent boutiques, and several of the better casual restaurants in the neighbourhood.
The Zhongshan Funky Market happens on weekends in the basement area, selling vintage goods, local crafts, and street food. There's also a cinema (Lightbox Cinema) and a branch of an established gym. Publika is the main social hub for Mont Kiara's expat community — evening on weekends feels like a neighbourhood festival. Getting here requires a car or Grab.
