A grand if slightly rundown building on Gudiashvili Street that houses one of Georgia's finest collections of religious art. The main halls are filled with Georgian Christian icons, many centuries old, alongside ecclesiastical silverwork and medieval manuscripts — the kind of thing you come all the way to Tbilisi to see.
In the basement there's a solid collection of 18th-century Iranian paintings; upstairs, Russian art from the imperial period. Tours in English, French, or German can be arranged, though availability varies by day. Admission is around 6 Lari. Opening hours are 11:00–17:00.
