Lisi Lake is a reservoir northwest of the city centre in the Saburtalo district, transformed in recent years from an underused water body into a well-maintained recreational park. The lakeside has good walking and cycling paths, a sandy beach area, and facilities for kayaking and stand-up paddleboarding. It has become one of the most popular outdoor leisure destinations for Tbilisi residents.
The surrounding area is greener and hillier than the city proper, with views of the Caucasus foothills to the north. The lake is about 20–25 minutes by taxi from the old town. Weekends bring families and picnickers; weekday mornings offer peaceful walks with fewer people.
