Andronikov Monastery

Andronikov Monastery is a former monastery on the Yauza River and contains one of Moscow's oldest surviving stone buildings. The complex is also home to the Andrei Rublev Museum of Old Russian Art, which gives the site real depth beyond the architecture.

Come for early Moscow religious history, icon painting, and a quieter historic complex outside the Red Square and Kremlin circuit.
